Jab Harry Met Sejal Box Office collection: SRK-Anushka’s romance gets damp response
There are a few takers for Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, as the film has a Box Office collection of only Rs 44 crore in three days, much below expectation
Shah Rukh Khan’s guide act in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ (‘JHMS’) opened to a collection of Rs 15 crore on Friday, which is a decent collection for any other film at the Box Office, but below expectations for a Shah Rukh Khan film. ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ has got the fourth biggest opening of the year till now, after ‘Bahubali 2’ (Rs 41 crore), ‘Tubelight’ (Rs 21.15 crore) and ‘Raees’ (Rs 20.42 crore). Surprisingly, Saturday marked a 5 percent fall in collections, with the film garnering only Rs 14.25 crore on that day. ‘JHMS’ recovered a bit on Sunday with Rs 14.75 crore at the ticket windows. By the end of its first weekend, that is, in three days, Shah Rukh and Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ made Rs 44 crore at the Box Office.
‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ released on more than 3,200 screens in India and was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 80-90 crore. In order to recover its estimated budget, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ will have to perform exceptionally well at the Box Office in this week, as come Friday and there will be more competition at the theatres. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is releasing on August 11, which could possibly dent ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’s’ collections.
