On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Aamir Khan’s wife and director, and a celebrity in her own right, Kiran Rao shared her thoughts on celebrating womanhood. “It has been said many times before, we need to do a lot of work for women to be given their rightful place in every walk of life. We do our bit in our films and I think everyone must. I am happy that we have set aside a day to celebrate women but we have to make it a daily celebration,” says the filmmaker. Even though she might be known as Aamir Khan’s wife, Kiran Rao has made her way up in the entertainment industry on the basis of her work as an individual.
