After the deal with Shahid Kapoor not working out due to the highly quoted price by the actor for their next, director Imtiaz Ali has dropped him and is looking to rope-in either Abhishek Bachchan or Varun Dhawan
The hit director-actor pair of ‘Jab We Met’, Imtiaz Ali and Shahid Kapoor, was set to return to the silver screen with a fresh love story. However the project was shelved due to lack of any financial backing. If trade buzz is to be believed then Imtiaz had a tough time getting a production house on board for the film, featuring the highly-paid Shahid Kapoor. The filmmaker is now toying with the idea of making another flick with a not-so-expensive cast. Reports suggest that Imtiaz is planning to rope-in Abhishek Bachchan or Varun Dhawan for this yet untitled project and the official announcements will be made soon.
