Hrithik Roshan replaces Akshay Kumar in Kaththi remake?
Bollywood news doing the rounds is that Akshay Kumar was rumoured to play the lead in the AR Murugadoss directorial remake of ‘Kaththi’, only to be replaced by Hrithik Roshan
We had earlier reported how Hrithik Roshan was being wooed by a certain production house, which presented the Bollywood actor with multiple scripts. Latest buzz now suggests that Hrithik Roshan has been approached to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Tamil action drama ‘Kaththi’, which released in 2014. Earlier, another celebrity star, Akshay Kumar was rumoured to play the lead in this AR Murugadoss directorial, only to be replaced by Hrithik. Apparently, Duggu has heard the script but is yet to give a confirmation for the same. ‘Kaththi’ talks about a farmer’s suicide and Akshay Kumar had given a nod to doing the film. However, Hrithik seems to be the newest favourite for this production house.
‘Kaththi’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Khaidi No 150’ and marked the return of Chiranjeevi in front of the camera after 10 years, as the film released in January 2017.
