Govinda’s comeback to Bollywood films after his political stint was a comedy alongside Salman Khan. The celebrities and the cinema world duo tickled people’s funny bones in ‘Partner’ as expected but post that there has been no major hit from Govinda, though a sequel to the same has been eagerly awaited.
“When I had just moved out of politics, Salman was with me. I thank him and may God bless him. I believe that one should not have too many expectations from a person that his (Salman’s) professional life gets strained. I have achieved all I have through my own hard work,” says Govinda. Back in the ‘90s, Govinda ruled the comedy films in Bollywood with flamboyancy and colourful humour. However, Govinda’s decision to plunge into politics came as a bitter experience.
