Amitabh Bachchan visits Dilip Kumar in the hospital in 2013
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was recently bestowed with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan. Farhan Akhtar was all praise for the celebrated personality, “People talk about method acting. I think that the first person who did method acting is Dilip Kumar Saab. We had already begun doing so on our home territory when people had only started talking about it in Hollywood. Dilip Saab is a pioneer as far as acting is concerned and has inspired a lot of people.” Amitabh Bachchan, who is also a popular yesteryear name, still going strong, added his words of admiration, “The history of the film industry will be written like this only, before Dilip Kumar and after Dilip Kumar.”
