Ranveer Singh is busy preparing for the character of lifetime, as he plays celebrated cricketer Kapil Dev on the big screen. The actor is scheduled to travel to Dharamshala in the state of Himachal Pradesh, where the unit of Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ will train for India’s historic win at the 1983 cricket World Cup against West Indies. Ranveer will work on grasping Kapil Dev’s iconic nuances and expressions, as he transforms into the legend on the silver screen. Director Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ has an interesting cast with Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Sahil Khattar making the squad that emerged victorious. National Award-winning actor Pankaj Tripathi is also a part of ‘83’, wherein he plays PR Man Singh, the team’s manager.
