An excited Sidharth Malhotra had confirmed signing up for ‘Aashiqui 3’, while buzz suggested that he would romance his alleged real life lady love Alia Bhatt in the film. However, this was a year ago. Since then, Sidharth and Alia have got busy with their set of films, leaving no space for the romantic franchise to be produced by Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt. Alia Bhatt has got working on Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’, ‘Dragon’ with Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Gully Boy’ with Ranveer Singh. Sidharth Malhotra on the other hand is busy promoting ‘A Gentleman’ and will soon move on to do ‘Ittefaq’ with Sonakshi Sinha and Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’. With so many films in their respective kitty, it seems like audiences will have to wait for a long time for ‘Student of The Year’ couple – Alia and Sidharth – to make a comeback on the silver screen together, and even for a third part of the cult romance, ‘Aashiqui’!
