From ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ to ‘Badlapur’, Bollywood sensation Varun Dhawan’s career spans a variety of movies. The actor asserts that experimenting with different concepts in films is more important to him than the cinema box office numbers. “I want to try and do things that I believe in, things that I personally feel the audiences will enjoy. I have never taken a decision thinking that a film will make certain monies at the box office, rather it has always depended upon what the audiences will enjoy,” says Varun.

Coming up, Varun Dhawan will be seen in action flick ‘Dishoom’ alongside Bollywood’s Mr Fit, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. “I am trying to do different roles, films that look a little different from regular Bollywood stuff and something new, always. It is very easy for people to get bored in this digital day and age as we are exposed to so much global cinema. Hence it is important that as an artiste I keep expanding and exploring new avenues,” adds Varun who is born in the celebs and cinema world and hence knows the meaning and importance of different content.

While Varun Dhawan is taking one film at a time, other actors and celebrities of his league, Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor are busy with several films in their kitty. Speaking about competition in the industry, Varun says, “Together we are Bollywood industry, there is no one person in power here. The film industry is a very democratic unit and it has to function in that way to thrive. If Bollywood does well then artistes will also grow. A hit film here and a flop film there in cinema will go on. That is life.”
