After Shilpa Shinde’s exit from the comedy TV show ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’, the makers have roped in Shubhangi Atre Poorey to play the much loved character of Angoori Bhabhi. Shubhangi as the new Angoori Bhabhi has already shot for an intriguing promo on &TV, increasing the curiosity level. It is not just Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (played by Aashif Sheikh) and Anokhelal Saxena (played by Saanand Verma), but the audiences too are eagerly waiting to see the new avatar of Angoori Bhabhi, aka Shubhangi Atre.

1. Shubhangi Atre hails from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She entered the showbiz industry armed with a degree in MBA. Shubhangi is married to Piyush Poorey and has a daughter named Ashi.
3. She is most remembered for her title role of Kasturi on Star Plus during 2007-2009. Shubhangi gained a lot of popularity with this show and also hit the headlines because of her rivalry with the show’s male lead Karan Patel.
4. Shubhangi had to beat 80 people to bag the role of Angoori Bhabhi. Apparently, the auditions to replace Shilpa Shinde on ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ went on for a month, at the end of which Shubhangi was roped in.
5. This is not the first time that Shubhangi Atre has succeeded Shilpa Shinde. In the past Shubhangi stepped into the role of Koyal Ghotak Narayan in the show ‘Chidiya Ghar’, when Shilpa decided to call it quits.
