Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao are caught in a love triangle in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. Ayushmann promises a starkly different performance from the adorable lover-boy roles he has played till date. “I am playing a bully in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, which is very different form the simple characters I have played till now. At times you need to step out of your natural characters and do something different. This film gave me such a character,” says Ayushmann. The film is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and co-written by her husband, Nitesh Tiwari of ‘Dangal’ fame.
Apart from this romantic comedy titled ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, Ayushmann has signed up for an intense drama. “I am doing a thriller with Sriram Raghavan. I am attempting such a genre for the very first time,” adds Ayushmann. Thanks to this thriller with Sriram Raghavan, Ayushmann had to step down from ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ sequel, as the actor’s dates were clashing with the latter.
