Anushka Sharma travels to Italy for wedding with Virat Kohli

Amidst speculations of a wedding with cricketer Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma was spotted at the airport last night as she left for Italy on a Zurich flight, apparently for marriage! Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma’s parents and brother Karnesh Sharma too were spotted at the Mumbai airport, ready to take off to the city of Milan in Italy. Interestingly, the Sharma family’s Guruji was also spotted at the airport. He is the same priest who was snapped with Anushka-Virat in Dehradun, where the couple was holidaying last December. All this development has fanned the rumours of Anushka-Virat’s marriage even more as the couple gets ready to take their relationship to the next level with a wedding.

While Anushka Sharma’s spokesperson has denied that the actress is marrying Virat Kohli but rumours are rife that Anushka will tie the knot with Virat on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Milan, Italy. The news coming out of the Bollywood stable says that the pre-wedding functions for Virat-Anushka’s marriage are scheduled for 9th and 10th December, making it a lavish three to four days affair. Interestingly, Virat Kohli is on a break from the upcoming ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka, which begins on 10th December, while Anushka has taken off from the shooting of her upcoming home production ‘Pari’.

Apparently, wedding invitations have been extended by Anushka’s father Ajay Kumar Sharma to their near and dear ones. According to a mid-day report, the ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ actress’ father has been personally calling up select few neighbours of Badrinath Tower at Versova, Anushka’s residence, inviting them to Anushka and Virat’s marriage. A source was quoted in the report, saying, “The star dad has made calls to some building folks, inviting them to the wedding that is slated for next week. As everyone cannot travel to Italy, he was keen to make them aware of the developments and seek blessings for the couple.” The neighbours have been reportedly requested to keep things private because of the media attention surrounding the wedding. India’s cricketing team’s captain Virat Kohli, after marrying Anushka Sharma in December, is speculated to apply for a partner visa in ‘wife’ category for Team India’s early-2018 tour to South Africa.

For trivia lovers, Aditya Chopra, who launched Anushka Sharma in Bollywood, too had tied the knot with Rani Mukerji in a private ceremony in Italy in 2014.
