Ajay-Karan fight round 2: Kamaal R Khan denies getting 25 lakh from Karan Johar to promote Ae Dil Hai Mushkil against Shivaay! -

Kamaal R Khan called a press conference today to clarify his stand on the ongoing battle between ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Ajay Devgn has demanded an investigation after KRK, over a phone call with Kumar Mangat Pathak, revealed that Karan Johar had paid him Rs 25 lakhs to badmouth ‘Shivaay’.

However, according to a report on Firstpost, Kamaal R Khan has refuted Ajay Devgn’s claims which said that KJo had paid him Rs 25 lakhs. KRK alleges that Ajay said so only to defend his negative tweets about ‘Shivaay’. The report also mentions that Kamaal R Khan blames Ajay Devgn to take a dig at Karan Johar by firing a gun from KRK’s shoulders. Kamaal himself is not paid Rs 25 lakh by Karan Johar to praise ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ either.

Quick to react, Ajay Devgn has shared yet another official statement:

“We have only made you aware of what Kamaal R Khan has said. KRK is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the (phone call) recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference. He has not denied that it was his voice in the recording and he is now making excuses and contradicting himself. Where is the sanity here? You have heard what I have heard. It is up to you all to decide. It’s his word against his own word. I have never in my life spoken to nor met this man.”

All this while, Karan Johar has maintained a stoic silence, preferring not to react to the latest Bollywood controversy. Messages to Karan Johar and his PR met with no replies.
