Ajay Devgn-produced ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ recently went on the floors and trade buzz suggests that it is going to be a massive production. Ajay will portray the warrior in a glorious onscreen adaptation and five different and grand sets have been erected in Mumbai for the period drama. All the sets are lavishly built. With films like ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ being made on a lavish scale, Ajay Devgn too has joined the bandwagon. The actor is expected to join the other cast on the sets of ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ soon. The film is directed by Om Raut and is slated for a release on November 22, 2019.

While ‘Taanaji : The Unsung Warrior’ mounts larger-than-life five different sets now, Ajay had announced this film in July 2017, more than a year back. Ajay had shared the first look of his ambitious project on social media by releasing a poster of the film. The Bollywood flick is supposed to be an exhilarating war epic, showcasing one of the bravest Maratha warriors. Ajay Devgn will play Tanaji Malusare, the brave ‘subedaar’ of the Maratha Regiment under the command of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Tanaji was his inseparable friend, a confidant and trusted general. ‘Taanaji : The Unsung Warrior’ will be directed by Om Raut who has previously directed Marathi film ‘Lokmanya: Ek Yugpurush’, which was a biopic on the legendary leader Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ is presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms with Watergate Production and Dashami Studioz.
