Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai breathed his last on Saturday, 18th March, at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Krishnaraj Rai was 77 years old. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Lilavati Hospital and had been on ventilator before passing away. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan visited her sick father often through last week, with husband Abhishek Bachchan accompanying her at times. Amitabh Bachchan was also spotted at the Lilavati Hospital recently, making an exit late evening after visiting an ailing Krishnaraj Rai.
Reports suggest that Aishwarya Rai’s father, late Krishnaraj Rai, an Army biologist, was suffering from a cancer relapse. Krishnaraj Rai is survived by wife Vrinda Rai, son Aditya Rai and daughter Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
