Abhishek Bachchan has confirmed a film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which will be directed by a newcomer and produced by Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films
Celebs And Cinema had earlier reported how Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are set to come together on the silver screen. Almost as a stamp of approval, Abhishek Bachchan has just confirmed a film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan! Abhi and Ash were to star in a Bollywood movie by Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films. Confirming the same, Abhishek says, “It is not Anurag’s film, but it is by a new director which Phantom will be producing. We are still discussing it and cannot announce anything as yet. I have always maintained that the producers should be given the opportunity to announce the film.” Reportedly titled ‘Gulam Jamun’, this will be a romantic flick which will revive the chemistry of real life couple Abhishek and Aishwarya for the silver screen. Abhishek and Aishwarya have worked in films like ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’, ‘Guru’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’.
Before Abhi-Ash come together for their Bollywood outing, Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in Prabhu Dheva’s ‘Lefty’ and will also reunite with Ram Gopal Varma for an encounter specialist cop film titled ‘Arrest’. He was last seen in multi-starrer ‘Housefull 3’ which released in June 2016. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on the other hand, has signed Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Fanney Khan’ which also stars Anil Kapoor.
