Shah Rukh Khan has come a long way in Bollywood, completing 25 glorious years in the entertainment industry. At the launch of his biography ‘SRK – 25 Years of A Life’, the celebrity actor took the opportunity to thank all those who helped him in his initial journey. “When I came to Mumbai, I had no place to stay. Aziz (Mirza), Kundan (Shah), Bakul and their kids gave me their house. When I got married, I had no home. Aziz Mirza gave me his home. They are my life makers. If not for them then I wouldn’t have been here. Then there was a time when Aziz wanted the home back. I remember, Rajiv (director of ‘Chamatkar’ and ‘Ram Jaane’, Rajiv Mehra) called me after that and gave me money for rent. These instances made me feel that I could do something in life, thanks to their backing,” says Shah Rukh reminiscing his past and the hardships he went through in life. Shah Rukh married Gauri Khan, nee Chibber, on October 25, 1991. Now the one of the top most celebs of Bollywood resides in a plush bungalow in Bandra, Mannat.

Looking back, on his journey of 25 years, Shah Rukh Khan went on to speak about the filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan, who gave him one of the biggest hits of his career, ‘Baazigar’. “They were the ones who made the greatest film of my career. When I went to meet them, I realised the hardships they were going through. As directors, they were yet to make it there,” says SRK. After completing 100s of Bollywood films in 25 years, the celeb and cinema star feels content even as Shah Rukh goes on to do more.
