Ekta Kapoor, the czarina of the small screen, is back with a second season of her sports reality show, ‘Box Cricket League’ (BCL). The popular show producer has a lot of faith in her reality show, hopeful that it will become big soon. Ekta says, “We have a big platform, where the whole economic discussion behind Box Cricket League has happened. For the first few years we have put our heart, money and energies behind the show, with the hope that eventually we will make a lot of money. But belief doesn’t always pay you, at least in the initial years. It will pay you back in multiples only when you continue doing the work.”
From fights to getting aggressive with words, a lot is being said about Box Cricket League being well planned, and that the TV stars are actually working on the lines of a defined script. However, Ekta defends any charges of the show being planned, “We have actors, who are the most insecure and aggressive lot in this world. I don’t think you need to create a script to put them in a competitive environment. They love their teams. We never told anyone to create drama. When you are playing a game and are actually involved in it, that itself is enough to create every kind of drama.”
This year a glamorous addition has been made to the game, with Ekta Kapoor’s favourite, Sunny Leone being a part of the show. Sunny apparently owns a team in BCL.
