The Delhi High Court has directed that Rajpal Yadav will have to surrender before the Tihar Jail before July 15. The Bollywood actor has been asked to serve the remainder of six days from a total 10 days imprisonment on the charges of contempt of court. Back in 2013, Rajpal Yadav had been sentenced to 10 days of imprisonment for contempt of court as the Bollywood celeb had filed a false affidavit. Rajpal Yadav served four days in jail, from December 3 to 6. After this, his sentence had been suspended post an appeal made to a division bench of the High Court. Now the honourable court has given the judgement and has directed Rajpal Yadav to serve the rest of the six days in jail.
The legal proceedings came into place when MG Agarwal, a Delhi based businessman had filed a recovery case against Rajpal Yadav and his wife. The actor had allegedly failed to repay a loan of Rs 5 crore, which he had taken in 2010, for his directorial debut, forcing the businessman to take legal action.
