Abhishek Chaubey directed ‘Udta Punjab’ is reportedly courting a controversy with the Censor Board, owing to the use of excessive expletives and the subject of drugs. While producer Anurag Kashyap has assured that the Bollywood movie is far from being banned, Alia Bhatt too responded to the same. She said, “All I want to say is that Anurag Kashyap put out a tweet containing all the information that is true and related to the topic right now. There was nothing mentioned about the cuts. It was just that the film has moved on and is with the revising committee and the due process is on. Apart from that, it will be wrong for me to say anything. Let’s wait and watch. Hopefully, everyone will be happy.” Full of celebs and cinema world stars, ‘Udta Punjab’ also features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljith Dosanjh apart from Alia Bhatt. The Bollywood movie is scheduled for release on June 17.
