Amidst a lot of expectations, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer Bollywood movie ‘Sarbjit’ hit the screens last Friday. While the makers may have thought to evoke an emotional sentiment in the audiences, the result has not been very pleasing. ‘Sarbjit’ had a low start at the box office, collecting Rs 3.96 crore on its first day. In three days of its release, this film has managed to garner Rs 13.95 crore, as ‘Sarbjit’ was well received in the North region. The film did face little competition from popular Hollywood release ‘X Men: Apocalypse’. ‘Sarbjit’ did not get rave reviews from the critics but maybe the sensitive content and word of mouth will drive the audiences to the theatres. For a good lifetime total, ‘Sarbjit’ will have to hold strong at the box office.
