Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and Irrfan Khan have worked on hit films like ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Haider’ and the duo was set to work on another project when Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour. While Irrfan flew off to UK for cancer treatment, he has been in contact with his director and they keep chatting. “Irrfan is in touch with me, we keep talking. He is recovering well. Our prayers and good wishes are with him. We hope he recovers soon and returns to films,” says the director. Vishal Bhardwaj also added that these days Irrfan records songs and shares them with him over messaging application WhatsApp. Bhardwaj is hopeful to begin shooting with Irrfan, as soon as he recovers fully.
