After humongous uproar and controversy, ‘Padmaavat’ finally released last week and made Rs 5 crore with the paid preview shows on Wednesday, 24th January. Followed by a long weekend, ‘Padmaavat’ collected Rs 19 crore on Thursday, Rs 32 crore on Friday and Rs 27 crore on Saturday. With a mega total of Rs 83 crore in four days and armed with favourably positive reviews, ‘Padmaavat’ is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore milestone in this week. Despite being a two-hero film, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are winning equal praise for their performances. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures can finally heave a sigh of relief as the film is on its way to recover its budget of approximate Rs 150-190 crores.
