Karan Johar’s romantic story in anthology, ‘Bombay Talkies’ was much applauded, and now the filmmaker is set to try his hand at comedy for its sequel. According to the Bollywood buzz, the filmmaker is planning to direct a humorous story and has reportedly roped in Vicky Kaushal to play the lead. Interestingly, Vicky is working on Karan Johar-produced ‘Raazi’ for now and hence seems to have bagged a second project with Dharma Productions. Karan’s last directorial outing was the romantic rendezvous ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, but the filmmaker is gearing up to unleash his creativity in the comedy genre.

Dibakar Bannerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar, who made independent films for the ‘Bombay Talkies’ anthology, have also started working on their individual projects for the comic sequel. The second part of ‘Bombay Talkies’ too will be produced by Ashi Dua and presented by Ronnie Screwvala.
