Father in real life, Anil Kapoor has been roped in to play Harshvardhan Kapoor’s father in a biopic on Abhinav Bindra, India’s first individual Olympic gold medallist. As any proud father would have, Anil Kapoor too is looking forward to the stint with his son in this Kannan Iyer directed biopic. “We are in talks and if there’s God’s will then we will definitely work together. I am very excited to work with Harshvardhan,” says Anil Kapoor. Abhinav’s father AS Bindra, a Chandigarh-based successful businessman, played an instrumental role in his tiresome Olympic journey. Anil Kapoor will reprise the role of Bindra senior in the film. In the meantime, Anil will play uncle to real life nephew Arjun Kapoor in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Mubarakan’. “After watching ‘Mubarakan’, my mother will be the happiest person as she will get to watch her son as well as her grandson on the silver screen together,” adds Anil Kapoor. ‘Mubarakan’ will hit the screens on July 28, 2017.
As for Harshvardhan Kapoor, the Bollywood actor is busy shooting for Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, after which he will begin preparations for the biopic, to be produced by Vishal Bhardwaj.
