Vikas Bahl was at the centre of a sexual harassment controversy, accused by a female employee of Phantom Films, his production house. Kangana Ranaut, who has worked with director Vikas Bahl on the National Award winning film ‘Queen’, reacted to the grave charges against the filmmaker, saying, “It is a very serious issue and it is very courageous of a woman to come out and speak about the situation she has faced. I am not the party involved in this, but generally women who are going through such situations should be encouraged to speak about them. They shouldn’t be shamed. There will always be another side of the story and the authorities will decide what the right thing is, but people should speak up.” It must be noted here that Kangana has championed many causes in the past and has also stood for women empowerment.
