Vidya Balan made waves with the news of quitting the biopic on Kamala Das, titled ‘Aami’ (powerful girl), ironically over creative issues. Soon, it was rumoured that Tabu has been approached as a replacement. While the ‘Cheeni Kum’ actress was in negotiations for ‘Aami’, she eventually preferred a fat cheque, which was offered by Rohit Shetty for ‘Golmaal 4’, over the Malayalam biopic. Tabu apparently had Rohit Shetty and team wriggle out an elaborate role for her in ‘Golmaal 4’, which was initially just a cameo. Tabu was last seen in ‘Fitoor’ wherein she replaced the veteran actress Rekha.
