An ensemble cast, comprising Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, Diljit Dosanjh and Lara Dutta, has come together for a comedy entertainer titled ‘Boom Boom In New York’. The massive project is a comedy drama directed by Chakri Toleti, who has helmed several movies in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. Interestingly, makers of ‘Boom Boom In New York’ swiftly shot the entire film and have even announced the release date as February 23, 2018. The project is based on the popular IIFA Awards and several portions of the film were shot during the last awards function, which was hosted in New York.
‘Boom Boom In New York’ will see the return of Karan Johar in front of the camera after a disastrous appearance in 2015 release ‘Bombay Velvet’. With Karan Johar jumping in, February 23 has now become a crowded date with two other big projects coming out on the same date, ‘Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran’ and Rani Mukerji’s next, ‘Hichki’.
