It’s not Hrithik Roshan, but Sidharth Malhotra who will be the romantic lead in Bollywood sequel ‘Aashiqui 3’. This Bollywood flick is a franchise of super successful ‘Aashiqui’ (1990) and ‘Aashiqui 2’.
As things are being planned at a blitzkrieg speed, the celebs of the cinema world are already going gung-ho about ‘Aashiqui 3’. “I am super excited to work with Mohit (director Mohit Suri) again. We are still in talks and as and when things get finalised for ‘Aashiqui 3’, we will make an announcement,” says an elated Sidharth. ‘Aashiqui 2’, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur released in 2013. The couple was said to be in love at that time. The film was a huge hit, giving the right push to many careers.
Since Sidharth Malhotra is stepping in in ‘Aashiqui 3’, the actor already has a lot of advantages to look forward to. He says, “The two good things about this project is that ‘Aashiqui’ is a great franchise and I get to work with an amazing director again. Secondly, there will be some outstanding music and I may even try to sing in this film.”
Apparently Mahesh Bhatt, who will be producing ‘Aashiqui 3’, has decided to cast his daughter Alia Bhatt in this Bollywood project. However, Sidharth is in no mood to confirm his alleged girlfriend’s role in the film. “I am in talks with the production house but they will have to take a call on who else is there. It is still an early stage to say anything,” concludes Sidharth. Will the celebs and cinema world couple be able to ignite the fire onscreen with their chemistry?
