1. Pratyusha Banerjee was just 16 years old when she made her debut on the small screen as Anandi for ‘Balika Vadhu’. She was born on August 10, 1992.
2. Hailing from Jamshedpur, Pratyusha Banerjee had to outdo almost 70 girls to become the face of ‘Balika Vadhu’, back in 2010. A friend on social networking website Facebook told Anandi that a popular TV show was hunting for a fresh face and that’s how Pratyusha was selected.
3. The role of Anadi came to Pratyusha while she was still studying. The then aspiring actress apparently completed her studies through distance education. TV and Bollywood dreams didn’t seem to have hampered her education.
4. Pratyusha’s love life was always a difficult one. Back in 2013, this TV actress had alleged her then boyfriend Makrand Malhotra of death threats and verbal abuse.
5. In response to Pratyusha’s FIR, Makrand had then stated that Pratyusha had been cheating on him.
