Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi’s heist drama ‘Baadshaho’ has emerged a favourite for fans as the Bollywood film made Rs 10.10 crore on its opening day at the Box Office. ‘Baadshaho’ went on to collect Rs 13.50 crore on Saturday and another Rs 13 crore on Sunday. The film released on 2,800 screens across the country. Made at a budget of Rs 80 crore, ‘Baadshaho’ has earned Rs 44 crore from satellite, digital music and overseas rights, while India distribution rights have been sold for Rs 41 crore, suggest reports.
On the other hand, a totally different genre film, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, released on 1,400 screens. A light-hearted film, talking about erectile dysfunction, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ was made on a lower budget and collected Rs 13.14 crore over the weekend. ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ released on the same day, on September 1.
