Bollywood Holi parties are nothing new in the industry. And with the festival of colours just round the corner, Arjun Kapoor tells us how he became a standing joke at a high profile Bollywood Holi party. Letting us in on the prank, he says, “I have a very quirky memory of Holi. I was invited for the very popular Holi celebrations at Amitji’s (Amitabh Bachchan’s) home. My friend Sikander (Kher) (who is also Abhishek Bachchan’s chaddi buddy) told me to come well dressed and I actually bought a new pair of clothes, shoes and even socks for the occasion. But they made so much fun of me. Sikander wanted to con me and he actually succeeded in it. I was the best dressed person on Holi and left as the worst dressed,” still in disbelief that somebody actually tried to pull a fast one on him and even succeeded in doing so.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Holi gathering is one of the most talked about and almost kind of a ritual in Bollywood. All the celebs and people from the cinema world look forward to this day and consider themselves to be a notch higher getting an invite from the Bachchan family.
