Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are officially now husband and wife, as they exchanged wedding vows in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. While Anushka’s publicity manager denied her marriage with the cricketer till the last minute, reports suggest that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot with a traditional Punjabi ceremony at Borgo Finocchieto. The Bollywood actress and Indian cricket team’s captain’s outfits were designed by fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukerji. The venue, Borgo Finocchieto in Italy’s Tuscany, was reportedly guarded with high security and the entry was restricted strictly to invitees. It is said that some celebs and cinema stars attended the extremely private marriage ceremony.

A few days before marriage, on Friday, December 8, Anushka Sharma, with her parents and brother Karnesh in tow, made a hasty exit from the Mumbai airport, flying out to Italy, while Virat Kohli left from Delhi. Anushka’s family priest too was spotted at the airport, allegedly leaving for the big wedding.
Cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will host a wedding reception in India on Thursday, December 21 at a five star hotel in Delhi, after which, on Tuesday, December 26, there will be a reception in Mumbai. The event will be attended by the Indian cricket team along with the who’s who of Bollywood. Many other celebs and cinema stars too are expected to descend on earth to congratulate the newlyweds. Anushka will also accompany Virat for the South Africa cricket tour and the film actress had also applied for visa for the same. The ‘Sultan’ actress is currently working on her home production ‘Pari’ and will soon be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan for Aanand L Rai’s dwarf film.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli started dating each other after shooting for an advertisement together in 2013 and soon became inseparable. Anushka was often trolled for Virat’s poor performance but the cricketer stood by her, calling her one of the strongest women in his life. Earlier this year Virat and Anushka were even spotted holidaying in New York and through the year attended several weddings and events, hand-in-hand.
