Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (‘TEPK’) had a special screening last evening for Bollywood celebs. Cinema star Madhuri Dixit, who stepped out to watch the film, was all praise for the movie and hoped that it drives the point home, “It is a very entertaining film and people should watch this movie because it has a very good message. I hope that people’s mind-set changes after watching this movie.” ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ highlights the issue of open defecation, hygiene and the need to build a toilet in every home. The Shree Narayan Singh-directed film released on about 3,000 screens across India and is made on a budget of approximately Rs 18 crore. Trade buzz is of the view that ‘TEPK’ may rake in about Rs 10 – 15 crore on the first day itself. After the Box Office disappointments with big budget movies like ‘Tubelight’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Munna Michael’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, all hopes are now pinned on this socially relevant film, just how Madhuri Dixit reviewed it.
