‘Ghayal Once Again’ has got mixed reviews at the box office but actor-director Sunny Deol is beaming with happiness. He says, “I have done a film after a long time and am hoping that ‘Ghayal Once Again’ does even better.” The Friday release bagged Rs 7.20 crore on day one and went on to make a weekend total of approximately Rs 23 crore.
Sunny Deol is drawing a lot of inspiration from the praises on social networking websites, “People are writing a lot of good things on digital platforms. There is a lot of interaction there. This gives you hope and courage to keep working. We have just started off, hopefully there are better subjects so that we can do all kinds of films,” he adds. The filmmaker is now inspired to make ever more films. “I felt that my connect with the audiences was lost. Now I feel that I should do even more films so that people continue to see me on the silver screen. I want to connect with the younger generation. Hopefully, I can make three films a year. Being in the public eye these days is important,” says Sunny.
Coming up next, Sunny Deol wants to also concentrate on the debut of his son, Karan Deol. “Until and unless there is a character that will suit me, I will not do the film. Now I have a responsibility to launch my son. I will make a romantic film with him,” says Sunny Deol before signing off.
