The first poster of Salman Khan’s wrestler Bollywood film ‘Sultan’ was released today. Every effort is made to make Salman Khan look earthy and warrior-like. A shirtless Salman Khan in a ‘langot’ standing in a wrestling ground makes for the poster. However, it looks more like a bad Photoshop skills.
It seems like Salman Khan’s face has been plastered on a hulk like body of someone else. Moreover, the connector between the face and the body, the neck is missing in the poster! While many have bashed the poster on micro-blogging site twitter, Salman Khan loyalists in Bollywood are continuing to sing praises.
‘Sultan’ is going to be Salman Khan’s only Bollywood release this year and hence is the most awaited one for Sallu fans. The Bollywood film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Yash Raj Films, is going to hit the screens on Eid this year. The trailer of Sultan will be released this week.
Shah Rukh Khan avoids clash with Salman Khan
Shah Rukh Khan’s big ticket Bollywood release ‘Raees’ too was to hit the screens on the same day as Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’, ie, on July 8. Rumours are rife that in a bid to avoid the big clash, the makers of ‘Raees’ have postponed its release to July 29.
While ‘Raees’ is complete and ready to release, the makers want to avoid the conflict with a Salman Khan biggie coming on Eid. Salman has always ruled Eid releases and coming on the same date as him would mean bad business and fewer screens for SRK. Bollywood has never been kind to anybody else’s films other than Sallu’s during Eid.
For Shah Rukh, the case is also of once bitten twice shy. SRK has not had a very good experience with last year’s ‘Dilwale’ vs ‘Bajirao Mastani’ clash. However, if ‘Raees’ releases on April 29, it will spell trouble for two other major films. Sunny Leone, who has done an item song in ‘Raees’, will be seen in ‘One Night Stand’ which is releasing on the same day as SRK’s. Also, Shraddha Kapoor-Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Baaghi’ releases on July 29 clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ Knowing King Khan’s charm with his fans, it will be difficult for the other two Bollywood releases to survive against ‘Raees’.
