Sonam Kapoor opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Dutt biopic!
If there’s any truth in the rumours doing the rounds, Sonam Kapoor will be cast opposite Ranbir Kapoor for the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The Bollywood film may see some other celebs and cinema world stars too
Rajkumar Hirani seems to have pulled off a tough casting coup as he has reportedly got Sonam Kapoor on board as Ranbir Kapoor’s heroine in the biopic on Sanjay Dutt. If rumours are to be believed then Sonam Kapoor will be portraying Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest but her character will be a blend of the ladies Sanju has allegedly been in a relationship with. Sanjay Dutt was rumoured to be in love with celebs and cinema world actresses like Tina Munim and Madhuri Dixit. Sanjay Dutt has been through three marriages – Richa Sharma, who passed away, Rhea Pillai, who divorced the actor after a few years into the marriage and in 2008, Dutt tied the knot with Manyata. The last marriage is still going strong and the couple also has two biological kids. Having gone through a life full of ups and downs, it would be interesting to see the Sanjay Dutt biopic, and Sonam and Ranbir enacting their respective roles.
Interestingly, celebs and cinema world stars Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor too have had a past. The duo made their debut together with ‘Saawariya’ in 2007. They were allegedly in love back then, but Ranbir soon drifted towards Deepika Padukone. Sonam and Ranbir continued to give scandalous statements about each other but maintained a cordial relationship. Apart from Sonam, the Sanjay Dutt biopic will also feature Anushka Sharma as a journalist. Director-producer Rajkumar Hirani plans to start shooting for the movie in January 2017. While Sonam is yet to come out in the open to confirm the same, Ranbir has already begun with the preparations for his role in the Dutt biopic, with losing weight and growing his beard to look like Sanjay Dutt.
