Ranveer Singh’s cop act in ‘Simmba’ has found a massive audience, with the film raking in Rs 100 crore at the box office in five days of its release. ‘Simmba’ kicked off with an impressive as it collected Rs 75 crore over the weekend at the ticket windows. The film continued its victory march as it garnered another Rs 21.24 crore on Monday and Rs 27 crore on Tuesday. With an impressive total of Rs 123.24 crore, ‘Simmba’ entered the coveted Rs 100-crore club. Industry buzz suggests that the entertaining drama will continue this positive trend through the week, eyeing business of Rs 150 core in seven days. Apparently, advance booking for ‘Simmba’ is also running strong at several major theatres across the country. Despite fewer screens than the competitor ‘Zero’, Ranveer and Rohit’s commercial outing has registered a blast at the box office.

Interestingly, ‘Simmba’ is Ranveer’s fourth Rs 100-crore film, the previous three being ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela’: Ram-leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’, all with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. ‘Simmba’ is also Rohit Shetty’s eighth Rs 100-crore movie, crowning him as the lead director with maximum centuries. Sara Ali Khan, who played the leading lady in this film, has also marked her debut in the coveted 100-crore club with ‘Simmba’, which is the second film of her career.
