Sidharth Malhotra, as the leading man in captain Vikram Batra biopic, was finalised almost a year ago! However, there was no news of the actor starting the project any time after that. Tentatively titled ‘Shershah’, the film will finally go on the floors in April this year with Sidharth playing the brave military officer on the silver screen. Sidharth’s character in the film will trace the journey of Indian army officer Vikram Batra from his college days to India’s Kargil war against Pakistan in 1999. The portions of Kargil war will be shot in Leh. ‘Shershah’ will be directed by Vishnuvardhan as Karan Johar’s Dharma productions backs the project. The actor is currently shooting for ‘Marjaavaan’ with Riteish Deshmukh, post which he will join the team of ‘Shershah’.
