Sharaddha Kapoor’s performance in biopic ‘Haseena Parkar’ was to hit the screens on August 18. However, the makers have decided to bow out of the competition and postpone the release of the film. August 18 is a crowded Friday with films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Parition 1947’, ‘Newton’ and ‘Muzaffarnagar – The Burning Love Story’ releasing the same day. And with a big banner film like ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ releasing just a week before, on August 11, there will be little scope for a film like ‘Haseena Parkar’ to grab the required eyeballs. While the new release date has not been announced yet by the makers, buzz is that ‘Haseena Parkar’ may hit the screens sometime in September when there are five Fridays, and hence an advantage to all films.
