Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have turned parents for the second time as they welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday, at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Shahid was spending as much time as possible with Mira as he was on a break from work. In the last few days, before delivering the baby, the couple was spotted at several dinner dates. Mira was visited at the hospital by her mother Bela Rajput, Shahid’s mother Neelima Azim and his half-brother Ishaan Khatter. Congratulations poured in for mom and dad from several Bollywood stars as well.

Since shooting for his upcoming Bollywood film, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ was over and before starting the next, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake, Shahid took a few days off from shooting for the film and preparing for his role. This timely paternity leave gave the much-required quality time to Shahid and pregnant Mira before welcoming their second child, a boy. The couple has a daughter, Misha Kapoor, who was born in August 2016. After a little over two years, on September 5, 2018, as Shahid and Mira have become parents to a baby boy, the father may increase his leave to be by the side of the second-time mother.
