Shahid Kapoor is busy working on his lawyer drama ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, which is produced by Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor’s Kriarj Entertainment. The same makers are apparently in talks with the actor to sign him up for a couple of more films. Buzz is that Shahid is in talks with Kriarj Entertainment to work on two interesting films, one of which may even star Katrina Kaif. What more? ‘Jab We Met’ director Imtiaz Ali is also penning a special film to rope in Shahid and recreate their success at the box office. There is yet another surprise announcement on the anvil which is with another top production house.
And while Shahid Kapoor becomes the hot property in Bollywood and is set to topline films, one of his most promising performances, that of Maharawal Ratan Singh in ‘Padmaavat’, will hit the screens next week. This may bring in even more offers for the actor. Apparently, an industry person, who saw the rushes of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, is all praise for Shahid Kapoor’s Maharawal Ratan Singh act. If the film becomes a hit, it will catapult Shahid’s career to the top and the makers may queue up outside his pad to sign the hit hero for their respective films.
