Salman Khan gears up for Gama Pehalwan

Salman Khan will produce another TV show, based on wrestler Gama Pehalwan, after ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Sohail Khan will play the celebrated wrestler

Salman Khan’s maiden TV venture ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is getting all the required attention on the small screen and the actor is now ready to roll a second programme as well in the capacity of producer. Long in the making, a TV show based on the life of wrestler Gama Pehalwan will finally hit the floors next month. With Salman Khan backing the project, his younger brother Sohail Khan will play the celebrated wrestler onscreen while Puneet Issar will call the shots. The programme on Gama Pehalwan is yet untitled but the team is reportedly planning to work on a bank of episodes before it goes on air in mid-2019. Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt, aka Gama Pehalwan, was also called by the ring name The Great Gama. It is said that in his career spanning over 52 years, Gama Pehalwan stayed undefeated in wrestling! And hence Salman wants to bring his illustrious life on screen. On Bollywood front, Salman is busy working on Ali Abbas Zafar-directed ‘Bharat’, which also stars Katrina Kaif.
