Salman Khan’s upcoming release ‘Tubelight’ may have a no show in Pakistan as reports suggest that local distributor are not willing to come forward and release it there. Commenting on the situation, COO of Salman Khan Films, Amar Butala stated, “Salman Khan Films is committed to taking ‘Tubelight’ to markets across the globe with our overseas distributors Yash Raj Films. Salman has a huge following in Pakistan, which has only grown with the positive messaging on ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. We hope to release ‘Tubelight’ in Pakistan as well, and our efforts continue in that direction, but we respect the law of the land and judiciary if they decide otherwise.” It remains to be seen whether ‘Tubelight’ will release in Pakistan or not.
Salman Khan plays a simpleton in ‘Tubelight’, which is set against the backdrop on 1962 Indo-Chinese war. Apart from Salman, the film stars Sohail Khan, Om Puri, Chinese model-actor Zhu Zhu. ‘Tubelight’ is directed by Kabir Khan and will hit the screens on June 23.
