After much hullabaloo over Ranveer Singh being miffed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali over ‘Padmavati’, the celebrity actor seems to have finally come on board for the period Bollywood film. When Ranveer Singh was asked whether he is a part of ‘Padmavati’, he replied saying, “Right now I am not in a position to comment on any of my upcoming films. But as soon as there is some relevant information regarding my upcoming slate of films, I will be the first one to let you know.” While Ranveer may have signed for Alauddin Khilji’s role in the movie, the Hindi cinema actor wants to keep the announcements for later.
Rumours were that things were not right between Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, as the actor had asked for a narration for ‘Padmavati’ which didn’t go down well with the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ filmmaker. However, now that things have fallen into place, Ranveer Singh has been apparently asked to grow a beard for his role of Alauddin Khilji in ‘Padmavati’ and keep aside 200 days for the shoot. In the meantime, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in his signature manner, is getting a magnificent set erected for ‘Padmavati’ at Film City studios in Goregaon.
