Karan Johar recently voiced his opinion about freedom of speech in the country and several other Bollywood stars have commented on the intolerance debate pre and post that. When R Madhavan is asked about it, the actor very positively says, “Speaking on a global scale, we are very happy people to be staying in this country. Here we are able to show our movies, whereas ask those people what freedom is in places where there is a lot of terrorism, an actual ban on freedom.”
Madhavan further expressed a feeling of pride adding that mistakes are commonplace. “I feel ‘aam aadmi’ is very happy. One third population of the world stays here, so it is likely that a few fools are also there. And if we stick to these statistics then I feel that our country is doing really well. This is something to be proud about. There will be a few mistakes and glitches, but they have always been there ever since the Roman Empire. People since then have been promising freedom of water, electricity and till date we are fighting for the same things,” concludes the actor.
