Prachi Desai will be seen portraying the role of India’s ex-cricket captain Mohd Azharuddin’s first wife Naureen in his Bollywood biopic titled ‘Azhar’. Mohd Azharuddin and Naureen had an arranged marriage when the latter was barely 16 years old. Speaking about her role in ‘Azhar’, Prachi says, “Naureen belongs to that part of Azhar’s life which not many know about. They do know that she was his first wife but nothing more than that is available. I feel that everyone will be able to connect with this character of Naureen as I could also relate to it. A lot about their relationship and nine years of marriage which no one knows much about will be seen in this movie.” It is after three long years that Prachi will be seen again in Bollywood with ‘Azhar’.
