As soon as ‘Padmavati’ vacated the December 1 release date, ‘Firangi’, ‘Tera Intezaar’ and ‘Fukrey Returns’ shuffle theirs to make the most at the box office
The delay in release of ‘Padmavati’ has created a domino effect on other Bollywood films, which were lined up for release. Kapil Sharma’s most talked about and much awaited second Bollywood outing, ‘Firangi’ has been postponed to December 1 from its earlier release date of November 24! Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan’s thriller, ‘Tera Intezaar’ too was quick to lap up the release date of December 1. Initially scheduled to release on November 24, the makers of ‘Tera Intezaar’ have postponed their film by a week. Thus, both these big ticket films are taking the advantage of a clear and bigger run at the box office after ‘Padmavati’ vacated the space, even though they will eventually clash with each other.
‘Fukrey Returns’, sequel to 2013 comedy hit ‘Fukrey’ has advanced its release by a week. The much awaited sequel starring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Ali Fazal was to hit the theatres on December 15. But with ‘Padmavati’ out of competition, the makers of ‘Fukrey Returns’ will now bank on a two week run at the box office, as it releases on December 8.
