No Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev biopic for now: Ritesh Sidhwani
Production house Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani says that they are not in talks for making biopics on Bishan Singh Bedi and Kapil Dev, at least as of now
Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house, Excel Entertainment, was rumoured to produce films on sports personalities like Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi. However, Ritesh cleared the air about the biopic, saying, “I was out for some time, so I don’t know what is going on in Excel. If they are discussing Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi biopics, then I have no idea. Honestly, I don’t think there is any truth to that as of now.” The production house is currently looking forward to the release of ‘Fukrey Returns’, sequel to its 2013 comedy film ‘Fukrey’. Besides this, Excel is also producing Akshay Kumar’s sports drama ‘Gold’ and will even make Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Gully Boy.
