After the success of his last film ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will get busy with first Indian Netflix Originals show, based on Vikram Chandra’s novel, Sacred Games
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has little time to celebrate the success of his last film, ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’, which collected Rs 11.24 crore in six days of its release at the Box Office, recovering its budget of Rs 5 crore very easily. The actor is now looking forward to plunge into the shoot of first Indian Netflix Originals show which will be based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel, Sacred Games. “I am going to begin with the Netflix Originals show next. I have to concentrate on the series because it will be a very difficult shoot,” quips Nawazuddin. The show will explore Mumbai’s dark underbelly and the project will be helmed jointly by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. It stars Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte alongside Nawazuddin.
Nwazuddin will also be working with Sanya Malhotra in director Ritesh Batra’s tentatively titled ‘Photographer’. “She is a great actress and the team is excited to work together,” he concludes.
